so are you saying that it isnt actually a seed until it turns or is turning into something else? because then it wouldn't be a seed anymore, it would be the next thing
so a seed is just potential energy... or is there never actually a seed, because either its defunct or a seedling because it has already sprouted?

i guess a seed is not just the sum of its atoms, but its future potential as well, that makes it a seed. If all it was was the sum of its atoms with no future potential (become a seedling and grow) then it really is less then a seed, and so is not a/the seed that it thinks itself to be.
